Within the scope of this prototype, the direct print method in PET bottles should be highlighted. In this process, embossed as well as grooved structures are possible on stretch-blow moulded bottles. Due to the combination of possible grooves or elevation with direct printing, new multifaceted design possibilities are now available which also enable haptic effects. Also complex elements with functional properties such as content level display or remaining amount indicator are feasible. There is no need for extra labels, glues or sleeves. The flexibility is considerable enhanced. All areas of the bottle can be printed upon and thus the limitations of standard labels avoided.
