CombiblocEcoPlus
The Combibloc EcoPlus carton is an aseptic packaging for UHT milk with an innovative make-up consisting of carton, polyethylene and polyamides, competing with similar carton composite packaging (conventionally made of carton, polyethylene and aluminium).
The functionality, with particular regard to minimum storage life of the UHT-milk contents, is maintained with the new composite packaging.
The ecological balance regarding climate-relevant emissions are, however, 28% lower than that of equivalent conventional packaging,
The jury stated the innovative character of the packaging solution and its contribution to ecological sustainability as reasons for its nomination.
